HoneyBeFit: Angela Davis host the MegaFit Workout Sessions
HoneyBeChat with five-time All American #AngelaDavis (@shapewithAngela) after a one hour intense workout in Dallas Texas at #Klyde Warren Park as a part of #Megafit for Megafest Dallas 2015.
Q:How do you keep your hair from not getting in the way of your workouts.
Angela: I keep it in its natural state instead of trying to process it and I wear it natural. That's the key. A good routine and a great conditioner to keep it quenched and heathly.
Q: What is the key to keeping your hair healthy especially after an intense workout like this?
Angela: Natural hair will get dry so conditioner is important. Preferably leave in conditioner. I don't just use the same conditioner all the time because my hair starts getting used to the same product so I (often) change it up. (currently using Biolage) but I enjoy switching it up all the time.

Dallas foodies hosted The Eat For Your Hair culinary event at TDK Lounge in the heart of downtown Dallas on August 8, 2015 from 2p.m. to 6p.m. At the hands of Nutrition specialist Brittney Giles owner of FitxBrit, The cake pop diva, Michelle Ezell owner of Edible by Ezell and the fit hair specialist, Alexandria of AlexandriaWill.com, guests learned to make a healthy flatbread pizza, a no-bake cheesecake and a pina colada themed smoothie. As the ingredients were being prepared, the speakers educated guests on how the contents were beneficial to hair growth, introducing them to products sponsors along the way. Event sponsors included by My Butter Bar, Eden Body Works, Nunaat Beauty, Kays Kettle Corn, Keirenae and Jahsanna.
Round One: Flatbread Pizza
At the beginning of the event, the ladies received recipe bookmarks with ingredients for all three meals. Starting with the Flatbread Pizza, attendees had awaiting them two flatbreads (naan), Beyond Meat, oil, tomatoes, mushrooms, tomato sauce, spinach, cutting trays, cutting knives, plates and foil paper. Alexandria Will (JustAlex) facilitated the main course by introducing the attendees to Beyond Meat products and gave instructions on how create homemade greek dressing for their salads and watermelon appetizers. Guests were instructed to create their own pizza and to place them in the oven for 10 minutes. Bon Appetite!
Round 2: The No-Bake Cheesecake
Topped with berries, Agave Nectar and garnish, guests learned to whip up something sweet in mini desert containers. The cake pop diva, Michelle Ezell owner of Edible by Ezell accepted the challenge of foregoing her usual cake-pop mix for a healthier alternative.
Round 3: The Smoothie Mix
Nutrition specialist Brittney Giles owner of FitxBrit shared her story about she changed her life after suffering from post pardon depression. Instead of taking the medicine prescribed to her, she opted to change her eating habits. After her transformation of becoming more health conscience, she started her business of meal prepping and nutrition consultation. By table, guests would come up to mix their fruit selections and almond milk to create the ultimate smoothie mix as Giles shared her story.
The event ended with giveaways from product sponsors and smiling faces. It seems that food brings people together, especially when hair is involved.
