Rooted Function Calm & Regulated Lab Testing + Strategies

Reminding your nervous system that peace is possible.

Dysregulation can show up in so many ways, racing thoughts, fatigue, poor sleep, irritability, low motivation, brain fog, emotional overwhelm, or feeling like your body is always bracing for what is next. Many people try to push through it, but the truth is your nervous system is not broken. It is responding to something.

Rooted Function Calm & Regulated Lab Testing + Strategies is a supportive wellness service designed to help you explore common root cause patterns that may be contributing to stress overload and nervous system imbalance. Using a combination of foundational lab testing and personalized strategies, we work together to create a plan that helps your body return to steadiness, safety, and calm.

Common Labs Used for Regulation Support

To help paint a clearer picture of what may be impacting your regulation, I may recommend a combination of labs such as:

HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) to explore mineral patterns that support mood, energy, and stress resilience
CBC (Complete Blood Count) to better understand fatigue patterns, immune stress, and overall wellness trends
CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel) to assess metabolic function, hydration balance, and internal stress load
Cortisol AM/PM to better understand stress rhythm, energy crashes, and sleep related nervous system strain

These labs are not used to label you. They are used to support clarity, pattern recognition, and a calmer path forward.

Why Root Cause Matters

When we only focus on symptoms, we miss the deeper message. Dysregulation often has layers, nutritional depletion, chronic stress, disrupted sleep, unresolved grief, hormonal strain, inflammation, or survival patterns that have been carrying the body for too long. Getting to the root cause matters because the body cannot fully relax when it is still trying to protect you.

This is why my approach blends nervous system education, lifestyle strategy, and gentle wellness support that feels realistic and sustainable.

My Training, Why This Work Is Personal

I am currently in school studying to become a Doctor of Functional Medicine, and my work is rooted in the belief that healing should be both evidence informed and deeply human.

I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of Texas and Florida, which allows me to bring a deep understanding of stress, trauma, behavior patterns, emotional processing, and regulation into the way I support clients. I have studied aromatherapy through the American College of Healthcare Sciences, and I am a Licensed Holistic Esthetician in the state of Texas, which strengthens the way I approach skin health, barrier support, and body based restoration.

In addition, I am a self taught herbalist and the creator of a plant derived feminine and skincare brand that I have been building for over five years. This work is not a trend for me. It is a lived commitment to helping people return to their bodies with care and confidence.

A Holistic Approach That Fits Your Whole Life

Your healing is not just physical. It is emotional, cognitive, ancestral, and spiritual. This work aligns with my broader ecosystem of healing through Rooted Function Theory™, where we explore the full picture of how you function, how you respond to stress, and what your body needs to feel supported again.

If you are ready to stop guessing and begin building a calm, regulated foundation, this is a gentle place to start.

HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis)

HTMA looks at mineral patterns in the body, including calcium and other key minerals that support energy, mood, stress resilience, and nervous system balance. This test helps identify trends that may be connected to depletion, chronic stress patterns, and areas where the body may need more support.

Regulation benefit: Helps guide calming nutrient support and restoration strategies.

CBC (Complete Blood Count)

A CBC gives a snapshot of overall health by looking at red and white blood cells and other markers that can relate to fatigue, immune stress, inflammation patterns, and oxygen support in the body.

Regulation benefit: Supports clarity around low energy, brain fog, and physical strain that can affect emotional regulation.

CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel)

A CMP checks key markers connected to liver function, kidney function, blood sugar balance, and electrolytes. It helps paint a picture of how the body is processing stress, hydration, and daily demands.

Regulation benefit: Supports steady energy and reduces internal stress caused by imbalance in the body.

Cortisol AM/PM (Stress Rhythm Testing)

This test looks at cortisol levels in the morning and evening to better understand your stress rhythm and how your body is responding to pressure, sleep disruption, and nervous system overload.

Regulation benefit: Helps guide a plan for sleep support, calming routines, and healthier daily pacing.

  • After your consultation and once payment is established, your bloodwork order will be placed and you will receive instructions for completing your labs through a Quest Diagnostics location.

Step 1: Find a Quest location

You will choose a Quest Diagnostics facility near you. Most clients complete their blood draw in one visit.

    Step 2: Schedule your appointment

Quest allows you to schedule an appointment online or you may walk in, depending on the location. Appointments are recommended to reduce wait time.

Step 3: Check in at the Quest facility

When you arrive, you will check in at the front desk or through the Quest kiosk. You may be asked for your name, date of birth, and to confirm your order. Bring a photo ID.

Step 4: Complete the blood draw

A phlebotomist will collect your blood sample. The visit is usually brief. If your cortisol is ordered as AM and PM timing, you will receive instructions on timing and whether it requires two collection times or a specific collection approach based on the lab order.

Step 5: Pay the Quest draw fee if required

Some Quest locations charge an additional specimen collection or blood draw fee. If this applies, it is paid directly to Quest at the time of service and the amount varies by location.

    Step 6: Results are released

Once results are available, they will be released for review. Your interpretation session will be scheduled after results are received so we can go over your full picture and build your four week supplement schedule.

  • After your consultation and once payment is established, your HTMA hair test will be ordered and you will receive simple instructions for collecting your sample.

Step 1: Receive your HTMA kit and instructions

You will receive the hair sample instructions and everything needed to complete your test.

Step 2: Collect your hair sample at home

You will cut a small amount of hair from the recommended area (usually the back of the head near the scalp). This is a quick process and does not change your hairstyle.

    Step 3: Package your sample

You will place the hair sample into the provided collection materials exactly as instructed so the lab can process it correctly.

Step 4: Mail your sample to the lab

You will send your sample to the lab using the mailing instructions provided. Turnaround time varies, but most clients receive results within 1 to 3 weeks after the lab receives the sample.

    Step 5: Results are released

Once your results are available, we will review them during your interpretation and strategy follow up call and build your four week supplement schedule.
