E is for Energies: How I See, Feel, and Know Spirit

I want to integrate E for energies into my own personal stories of spiritual gifting and how it’s been my guiding light.

Intro: The Gift of Energetic Sight

From a young age, I’ve carried a spiritual sensitivity I didn’t fully understand—but could never ignore. I see and hear things that aren’t always visible to the eye or logical to the mind. Over time, I came to realize it was a gift. In this week’s ABCs of Ancient Healing, E is for Energies. I want to share how I experience them, how I’ve come to understand them, and what they’ve taught me about faith, discernment, and healing.

Money is Energy: My First Manifestation

As a little girl, I walked around with a pretend checkbook. I’d write checks for the things I hoped for—things I believed would come. One day, I wrote a check for a specific amount, and soon after, someone showed up at our door with that exact amount of money, gifted to my aunt. No explanation—just confirmation.

That was my first lesson in manifestation. Childlike energy is powerful because it’s pure. It doesn’t overthink. It just believes. That’s what makes it magnetic. Money isn’t just currency—it’s energy, and energy responds to faith.

Seeing Light: How Angels Appear to Me

One of the ways I know divine presence is near is through light. I often see glimmers—like sparkles or particles floating in still air, when there’s no wind and no natural reason for it. Sometimes it’s a flicker of movement, a shimmer of light in the corner of my eye. That’s how angels show up for me. It’s gentle. Subtle. Comforting.

It’s not always visual, though. Sometimes it’s just a knowing. A calm that comes over me. A quiet voice in my spirit that says: you’re not alone.

Learning from Darkness: Discerning Harmful Energies

Not all energies are light. As someone who spent over two decades in a holiness church, I was trained to understand spiritual warfare. I studied how different spirits move—and I experienced some of them firsthand.

The feeling is physical: a tightening in my chest, a fast heartbeat, shortness of breath. I’d feel afraid, sometimes frozen. I often slept in my mother’s room because I didn’t want to be alone with what might show up. I’ve had visitations where doors would open, or I’d feel the bed shift as if something sat beside me.

These encounters taught me discernment. They taught me that the spirit realm is real—and that not everything is welcome.

Final Thoughts: Energies Don't Lie

Over the years, I’ve learned that energy is a language—one that my body, spirit, and intuition know how to speak. Whether it’s divine or disruptive, spirit makes itself known. My gift is not just in seeing or hearing—but in listening deeply, and helping others do the same.

So when I say E is for Energies, I mean all of it. The light, the shadow, the currency, the confirmation. It’s all there to teach, guide, and awaken us.
