What inspired you to start your business and why?

I started my Green Living Journey in 2012, when I started looking at the labels on the products that I was using on a daily basis. I started making my own soap in 2012 and then started making all of my family's bath and body care products. I never could find any laundry detergents or dish soap or household cleaners that were not filled with toxic ingredients, so I decided that I wanted to make non-toxic, highly effective, eco-friendly cleaners. It took a long time to decide the ingredients and a lot of research and trails.

What does your company stand for?

Transparency. Cruelty-Free. Non-Toxic. We seek to educate consumers on ingredients and give them an alternative that they can trust and is effective for their household cleaning needs.

How do you create the life you want?

Honesty and authenticity. I keep learning, growing and adjusting myself to create the life that I want.

Where do you find inspiration?

I read a lot. I meditate and center myself so that I am always aligned to my purpose. I feel things very deeply and gain inspiration from others that are living with authenticity and with freedom.

How do you feel about the support a #BlackBusiness movement?

I am inspired by the Support a #BlackBusiness movement. It was never my intention to seek support from the African-American community, I just wanted to put out great products that people need. However, African Americans have been our biggest supporters, and African American women. They have been amazing; it is so humbling to feel and receive that support. I know there are a lot of people that don't support black businesses and that bums me. Black businesses are needed so desperately and we need to be able to break the barrier of being a small business and enter the market place at a larger scale and that means chain stores where people shop. We need to see US and be able to purchase US in stores like Target and CVS, Walmart and more. That's what I am striving for with PUR Home.
