Single Mother

Single Mother

Single parent home, I was there.

Helpless looking at you,

As a kid, I wish that I could grow up real fast just so I could help you.

I was a little person and I would watch what you do.

I saw you a million times and every time you pulled us through.

I never sat in the dark because you always illuminated light.

Praying on your knees; you didn’t see me standing in your doorway at night.

Complaining you never did.

You never made me feel like you regretted having kids.

Mama, everything that you did and still do

I appreciate and every day I celebrate you!
