Always on the go, never having time for me,
Begging for your conversation, but you never had time to talk to me.
I made good grades, but you didn’t care.
Award ceremonies, homecoming, basketball games, you were never there.
I had the finest clothes and shoes.
Purses and accessories to compliment everything I wore.
You could take all that junk back and I’d rather have your hugs and kisses and your voice saying you miss me.
Regardless of your lack of time, you’re still my mom and I love you and I wouldn’t even be in this world if it weren’t for you.
“Time is a present, give it to me sometime.”
