One of the most fascinating or thrilling features about hair is the way that it shakes. That bounce is a cocktail of exhilarating with a splash of dazzling. To keep that bounce (and feed your hair with necessary nutrients), be sure to load up on these awesome hair shakes:
1. Berry Shake: Berries are rich in Vitamin C, which helps to ward off dry and splitting hair. Some of my favorite berries, like strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries, are rich in antioxidants that repair cells and promote healthy strands. If you love fruit as much as I do, whip yourself up a mixture of berries and drink your way to strong, glowing hair.
2. Green Smoothie: This classic goodie is liquid gold for the hair. Leafy greens contain lots of water, which is great for keeping the scalp moist. They're also loaded with Vitamin A, a scalp-nourisher that helps to create healthy oils in the hair. Any veggie that you choose will be an excellent selection, but I'm partial to kale, collards, and turnips (Sorry, spinach. I didn't recommend you because I am still working through how much I disliked you from childhood.)
3. Fruit and veggie blend: If you love fruits and veggies, why not mix 'em together? You'll be getting the best of both worlds in nutrition and taste. One of my favorite fruit and veggie blends is kale, carrots, strawberries, oranges, and ginger for some zing. Packed with phytonutrients to boost cell regeneration, this amalgamation of natural goodies will give your hair the foundation that it needs to flourish.
